~My Thoughts~

I love dystopian books.! In fact, they are my favorite and this one is no exception. I really liked this book. I just wanted to keep reading and reading so of course that is exactly what I did. I like reading all the different ways authors can think up of alternative worlds. This one I liked very much. Everything has an olden day feel to it as far as everything is…. what is the right word…… predetermined? The test that you have to undertake in order to actually be accepted as a part of the community is different but it has relatable notions as far as the guy who made the test and how it works. Like almost everything nowadays there is selfishness in it and not just simply for the greater good. The pit is definitely somewhere I would like to avoid. It sounds worse then prisons are. It definitely takes a strong person to make it in the pit. The only thing I had a slight problem with and I say slight because I realize that even though at first I was like What the Crap?? It didn’t have a big lasting effect on me like it use too. I didn’t have to go on a rampage because the ending just abruptly ended.  Once the initial OMGness of the ending of the book wore off which again didn’t take long I realized that Sarah left it open for another book to pick up exactly where she left off. Now granted I have not done my research to find out if there is actually a second book in the making but I really hope there is but cause I will DEFINITLY be reading it!!!
