Thanksgiving Thankfulness

Happy thanksgiving

Even though I may not understand why people are more thankful for what they have only around Thanksgiving I still love this time of year. The leaves are changing colors, falling of the trees, cooler weather, hot cocoa or coffee time, What’s not to love about this time of year? Even though I am grateful for what I have everyday it seems like it’s more elaborate this time a year. More people are more appreciative of what they have and give thanks more this time a year. I love the cheer, laughter, love, lights, music, fun, family time that accompanies this time of year. Not to say that I don’t enjoy that stuff all year because lets face it with a 6 and 5 year old I am surrounded by cheer and laughter and love everyday and I am so blessed for that but this time a year it just seems so much more. To celebrate I am doing a Thanksgiving Thankfulness post where I tell you guys everything I have to be thankful for.

  1. First and foremost I am thankful for my life. That I am living and breathing and here in the moment able to enjoy all of the good times along with the bad. Lord knows there were times when I wasn’t sure I would make it out alive and times where I made my life harder on myself then I should have.
  2. I am thankful for my Higher Power. Without my Higher Power (God) I know I wouldn’t be where I am today.
  3. I am thankful for my husband, Nick. He is a wonderful, hardworking, thoughtful, caring, kind, strong, dependable man who without I don’t know how I would make it through life. It definitely wouldn’t be the same and I am so glad I get to share my life and all of life’s moments with this special incredible man of mine!
  4. I am thankful for my daughters who have just brightened up my life. I couldn’t imagine my life without them and I don’t remember my life before them. It is so incredible awesome seeing the world through their eyes and watching them learn and grow and accelerate. I am always awed at what comes out of their mouths at times and they are just excellent!
  5. I am thankful for the family I do have. My dad, step-mom who to be honest is more like a mom to me then my actual mother, and my brother.
  6. I am thankful for my job so many of americans are unemployed and I am blessed to bring home a paycheck every week.
  7. I am thankful for my house.
  8. I am thankful for my car.
  9. I am thankful I can pay my bills. (Water, electricity, gas, insurance, etc.)
  10. I am thankful that I have food in my house to fill my tummy!
  11. I am thankful for the clothes that I have.
  12. I am thankful I have a cell phone, cable and internet. They are definitely not necessities!
  13. I am thankful for a washer and dryer so I don’t have to go to the laundry mat.
  14. I am thankful to have an actual family doctor now! Yay!! I have needed one for so long!
  15. I am thankful to finally be on some medicine that will help me long term. (I am have asthma and I am finally on something that will actually help instead of just a rescue inhaler)
  16. I am thankful for my friends. Without them I may have lost my head a long time ago. Thanks you guys you are amazing!
  17. I am thankful for the many many many many many books that are out in the world. I swear I will never be able to read them all but I will read a lot of them!!! I LOVE BOOKS!!!!
  18. I am thankful for all the Authors out there writing their stories down and publishing them so that I can read them! I love the adventures and my life is way more exciting with books in my life!
  19. I am thankful to all the publishing companies who publish all these authors and help bless us readers with loads of books. Also thankful to the publishing companies for sending us ARCs. I know they cost money to make and they send them out for free. That’s just awesome!! Thanks for that!! thanks publishers
  20. I am thankful that I started this blog. Granted it’s only almost four months old I never would have imagines I could actually accomplish my goals that I had set out for myself. Granted in four months I have not met all my goals that I set for myself yet but I am working on it and I am accomplishing some so I know I can accomplish them all and even more goals as I set them.
  21. I am thankful for all the other bloggers out there in the world. I didn’t know this world existed until recently but I am loving it! Thanks for being a blogger!!
  22. I am thankful that I have the means to give my girls decent birthday and Christmas gifts. It wasn’t always so.
  23. I am thankful for all the extra stuff I have gotten to do throughout the year, like take my kids to the movies and the Widespread Panic concert my husband and I went to.
  24. I am thankful for my education(even if it is just a high school diploma) without it I wouldn’t be able to read all the lovely books I have read!
  25. I am thankful for my husbands job even if at times I get frustrated with it I am thankful.
  26. I am thankful for all the struggles and hard times I have had this year because without them I wouldn’t have had all the rewards from getting through those hard times. I wouldn’t know the good times from the bad times if there wasn’t any bad times to be had. The struggles remind me of how strong we are and all the things we can really overcome if we just keep pushing forward and doing the best we can!
  27. I am thankful for my past. Without it I wouldn’t be where I am today. Just like everybody I haven’t always made the best decisions. I am not always proud of my past but through those bad or wrong decisions I am still here. I am living a better life today then I was even last year. I can here today which means my past is exactly that my past in which I learned valuable lessons and can apply what I have learned to my future.
  28. I am thankful for my present. This moment, this day right here.
  29. I am thankful for HOPE. Without hope I wouldn’t be here and without hope sometimes I don’t know how I would make it through the bad times. Hope is part of what keeps us moving forward.
  30. I am thankful for the future and all that it holds. I don’t know how much future I have left in front of me. Lets face it none of us do but the length of the road ahead doesn’t matter near as much as the fact that I still have some road ahead. Some is better then none!

I could continue on but I figured 30 was a good number to end at. What are some of the things you are thankful for? I hope you all have a wonderful, love and laughter filled Thanksgiving! Remember we are all blessed!

happy thanks
