A mysterious island.

An abandoned orphanage.

A strange collection of very curious photographs.

It all waits to be discovered in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, an unforgettable novel that mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets sixteen-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the crumbling ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. They may have been quarantined on a deserted island for good reason. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

A spine-tingling fantasy illustrated with haunting vintage photography, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children will delight adults, teens, and anyone who relishes an adventure in the shadows.

~My Thoughts~

I am probably one of the last people to read this book. I remember when I first saw it, it caught my eye but I didn’t even pick it up. Something kept drawing me to the book but something else kept me from actually picking it up and reading it. That is until a friend of mine who shares a love for books recommended it to me but not only did she recommend it but she lent it to me so I then was like okay I guess I should read this now. I am glad that I did because I really enjoyed it!! I have always like peculiar things or in this instance children/adults. I like the idea of loops. It was a well written. Adventure, mystery, love, lost, run, hide, kill, die, this book has a little bit of everything. It was very entertaining. I finished reading this book in two days I just couldn’t put it down.

~Final Thoughts~
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I am also very excited for Hollow City! I just can’t wait to continue this fun adventure to see what else happens!!
