Josslyn found perfection once, and she knows she’ll never find it agian. Now widowed, she seeks the one thing her beloved husband couldn’t give her: dominance. Lonely, searching for an outlet for her grief and wanting only a brief taste of the perfection she once enjoyed, she seeks what she’s looking for at an exclusive club that caters to people indulging in their most hedonistic fantasies. She never imagined that what she’d find would be the one man who’s long been a source of comfort-and secret longing. Her husband’s best friend.

Dash has lived in an untenable position for years: in love with his best friend’s wife but unwilling to act on that attraction. He’d never betray his best friend. And so he’s waited in the wings offering Joss unconditional support and comfort as she works past her grief, hoping for the day when he can offer her more.

When he finds her in a club devoted to the darker edges of desire, he’s furious because he thinks she has no idea what she’s getting herself into. Until she explains in detail what it is she wants. What she needs. As realization sets in, he is gripped by fierce, unwavering determination. If she wants dominance, he is the only man who will introduce her to that world. He is the only man who will touch her, cherish her… love her. And the only man she’ll ever submit to.

My thoughts:

I have a bad habit of not reading the summaries of books. I saw this book on the shelf and the cover and title just popped out and said “Me, Me, Me, Please Read Me!” so without reading what it was about I bought it. I started reading and realized that this book was about BDSM. I had never read a romance novel EVER until I read this book. If I would have read the back of the book I probably wouldn’t have actually got it because I’ve always had some weird notion towards romance novels. However I absolutely loved this book!! I love that is starts out with her grieving her dead husband until she decides it’s time to pick up her life and live it again. She happens to find love again in the person she least thought it would be from. She had a hard time wrapping her head around the fact the her husbands best friend was declaring his love for her and that it had been there from the beginning. She couldn’t see it (because he hadn’t wanted her to). I love the fact that through the journey they face difficulties yet come out on top and the detail to the story and how things play out keeps it intriguing. I couldn’t put this book down. I would read till really late into the night only to wake up the next morning and the first thing I would think about was picking this book back up and reading more! I finished reading this book in two days because I just absolutely couldn’t put it down. Its beautifully written! Very entertaining! Very Awesome!

Final Thoughts:

I recommend this book to anyone who liked the fifty shades of grey trilogy (which I read after this trilogy. reviews coming). Also anyone who likes romance and BDSM should definitely read this book!  It was something new for me and has broaden my horizons which is amazing! However isn’t that what part of reading is about? To broaden our horizons?! Well congratulations Maya Banks for broadening mine. I am now into another genre that I was weirded out about before! Thanks for writing an awesome trilogy! I know you will continue to write and I can’t wait to read more of your work!
